Master the designer's most visible decisions — colour schemes and material palettes that look beautiful, feel right, and survive real Malaysian homes and budgets.

Module Learning Objectives 模块学习目标
- Apply colour theory: the colour wheel, harmony schemes, and the 60-30-10 rule. 运用色彩理论：色轮、配色法则与 60-30-10 原则。
- Choose colours by mood, function, and the lighting conditions of each space. 根据空间的氛围、功能与采光条件选择色彩。
- Identify common interior materials with their properties, costs, and maintenance needs. 认识常用室内材料及其特性、价格与保养方式。
- Specify finishes for walls, floors, and cabinetry using materials available from local suppliers. 结合本地供应商，为墙面、地面与柜体指定合适饰面。
- Build professional mood boards and material boards to present a complete scheme. 制作专业情绪板与材料板，呈现完整设计方案。
Lesson Breakdown 课程大纲
LESSON 3.1
Colour Theory Foundations色彩理论基础
Goal: Understand the colour wheel and build harmonious colour schemes. 目标：理解色轮，学会建立和谐的配色方案。
Key Topics 主要内容
- Colour wheel: hue, value & saturation 色轮：色相、明度与饱和度
- Harmony schemes: monochrome, analogous, complementary 配色法则：单色、邻近色、互补色
- The 60-30-10 rule for interiors 室内配色的 60-30-10 原则
- Warm vs cool colours & undertones 暖色与冷色，以及底色调

- Build 3 colour schemes from paint swatches 用色卡组合 3 组配色方案
- Analyse the colour schemes in 5 real interior photos 分析 5 张实景照片的配色
Outcome 成果: Students construct a balanced scheme using the 60-30-10 rule. 学员能运用 60-30-10 原则建立平衡的配色方案。
LESSON 3.2
Colour Psychology, Mood & Light色彩心理、氛围与光线
Goal: Choose colours that create the right mood for each space and lighting condition. 目标：根据空间氛围与采光条件选择合适的色彩。

- How natural & artificial light change colour 自然光与人造光对色彩的影响

LESSON 3.3
Interior Materials 101常用室内材料
Goal: Know the core materials — their strengths, weaknesses, and price levels. 目标：认识核心材料的优缺点与价格区间。
Key Topics 主要内容
- Wood, plywood, MDF, veneer & solid surface 实木、夹板、中纤板、木皮与人造石
- Tiles, natural stone & quartz: where each works 瓷砖、石材与石英石的适用场景
- Glass, metal & mirror accents 玻璃、金属与镜面的点缀运用
- Durability, maintenance & cost comparison 耐用性、保养与成本比较

LESSON 3.4
Finishes: Walls, Floors & Cabinetry饰面：墙面、地面与柜体
Goal: Specify the right finish for every surface — including cabinet finishes used in Malaysia. 目标：为每个表面指定合适饰面，包括马来西亚常用的柜体饰面。
Key Topics 主要内容
- Paint types & special wall finishes 油漆种类与特殊墙面处理
- Flooring: tiles, SPC vinyl, laminate, parquet 地板：瓷砖、SPC、强化木地板、实木拼花
- Cabinet finishes: melamine, laminate, PU, acrylic 柜体饰面：三聚氰胺板、防火板、PU 漆、亚克力
- Where to spend vs where to save 哪里该花钱，哪里可省钱

- Finish selection drill for a full kitchen 厨房饰面选择演练
- Cost-tier matching: finish vs budget level 饰面与预算等级配对练习
Outcome 成果: Students specify appropriate finishes for each surface within a budget. 学员能在预算内为各表面指定合适饰面。
LESSON 3.5
Mood Boards & Material Boards情绪板与材料板
Goal: Combine colours and materials into a professional presentation board. 目标：将色彩与材料整合成专业的呈现板。
Key Topics 主要内容
- From concept word to mood board 从概念词到情绪板的流程
- Physical vs digital material boards 实体与数码材料板
- Sourcing samples from local suppliers 向本地供应商索取样板
- Presenting a scheme to a client 向客户呈现配色与材料方案

- Build a digital mood board from a concept word 根据概念词制作数码情绪板
- Assemble a physical material board in teams 小组组装实体材料板
Outcome 成果: Students produce a coherent board that communicates one clear concept. 学员能制作出传达明确概念的呈现板。
LESSON 3.6
Full Scheme — Module Project完整方案 — 模块项目
Goal: Create the complete colour and material scheme for a real unit — and defend it. 目标：为真实单位完成整套色彩与材料方案，并加以说明。
Key Topics 主要内容
- Keeping the scheme consistent across connected spaces 相连空间的方案一致性
- Specification sheet: codes, finishes & suppliers 材料规格表：编号、饰面与供应商
- Budget-tier alternatives: good / better / best 预算分级替代方案

- Module project: full scheme for the Module 2 Tan family condo 模块项目：为模块二陈家公寓制定完整方案
- Presentation & instructor critique 方案汇报与导师点评
Outcome 成果: A complete, presentable colour & material scheme — the Module 3 portfolio piece. 一份完整可展示的色彩与材料方案 — 模块三作品集作业。
Module Assessment 模块考核
40% Exercises (Lessons 3.1–3.5) · 50% Module Project (Lesson 3.6) · 10% Participation. Students must achieve 60% overall to progress to Module 4: Hand Sketching & Perspective Drawing.
40% 课堂练习（第 3.1–3.5 课）· 50% 模块项目（第 3.6 课）· 10% 课堂参与。总分达 60% 方可进入模块四：手绘与透视图技巧。
